According to education researchers, inquiry-based instruction is “a teaching method that combines the curiosity of students and the scientific method to enhance the development of critical thinking skills.” Inquiry-based learning promotes engagement, curiosity, and experimentation. Rather than being ‘instructed to,’ students are empowered to explore subjects by asking questions and finding or creating solutions. It’s more a philosophy and general approach to education than a strict set of rules and guidelines.
